March 2 water 2 copy Praise Creator Yahweh with all of your heart! Stand beneath the night sky with your arms lifted to heaven and sing his praise. Bow down to the earth and savor his sweetness. Dance your prayers before him. For his love and his faithfulness are unfailing. His glory beyond understanding.

Our people should have been the first to recognize Yahweh as Creator, this Jesus Yeshua who laid down his life for us. We saw him in the sunrise over the Sacred Mountain. We heard him in the wapiti’s bugle, and we watched him dance in the flight of nighthawks.

Stand still and listen. Creator Yahweh’s voice is heard in all the earth! We live and move and have our being in him. Such knowledge is enough to make your feet move to the drum of his heartbeat. What problems do we have that he cannot fix? What enemies can he not defeat? Praise Creator Yahweh for he will not abandon the works of his hands.

March 1 Warriors, have you considered what it means to have faith? Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. It has long been easy for us to believe by faith that everything we see and don’t see was formed at Creator Yahweh’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what is visible.

This is the same, Creator Yahweh, who loads the clouds with water and weeps upon the earth. At his direction they swirl and do whatever he commands, sometimes bringing justice; other times showing his great love as he waters the face of the earth.

By faith we learn to trust him, so that when he answers our prayers differently than what we hoped, we understand by faith that what we receive is what we would have asked for if we knew as much as he does about the situation. This is the kind of faith that will carry us through the path of sorrow and onto the beauty way.

February 28 There are many voices, warriors. Be careful which ones your ears take in. I’ve heard it said that we Natives should not believe in Jesus Yeshua, because in so doing we will give the white man the satisfaction of thinking he has won. This same voice cautions to not allow our children to be absorbed in religions. I have much to say about this, but I will keep my words few.

First of all, to think that Jesus Yeshua belongs to the white man is in error. Read the Sacred Writings. You will see this is no white man’s God. This is Yahweh, Creator, the One we have been worshipping all along. Don’t allow the wrong doing of any man or woman keep you from the truth. Creator Yahweh has given us his words, which are rich to live by and good for correction. Sit close to the earth and absorb his words into your soul.

My people are fully Native and fully Christian, but do not confuse that with white traditions. We use our regalia, language, dancing, and customs in our worship of Creator, and in doing so, we have felt Creator Yahweh’s pleasure. These practices are bringing much honor to our people and restoring our dignity.

We welcome our white friends to worship with us, not in a contest of who will win or lose, but as members of one Tribe, many nations coming together. Eagle People … Today’s reading is Galatians 3:23-29. Pleya gi “Go with Blessings.”

February 27 water Have you lost sight of the goal, warriors? Has the enemy of our souls convinced you that such a prize is unreachable? Cha-aat! Tell him to stand back! All you need is one glimpse of Creator Yahweh’s face. He rides on the wings of the wind, coming from that far off place to meet with you.

Listen! The thunder of Creator Yahweh’s voice rings through the heavens! He will draw you out of the water. He will deliver you from certain death and set you on your feet. Earth will become solid and strong beneath your feet until you borrow its strength and it becomes your own.

Wait for Creator Yahweh. He will come. Indeed, he is already here, right in the depths of your heart. Let his deep, unquenchable love fill every part of you, restoring your soul and replacing despair with hope. Yahweh. Yahweh. Yahweh. Let his whispered command fill your ears, “Stand firm I AM with you.”

February 26 water Make the Most High your dwelling. Let Creator Yahweh be your refuge. Because you love Creator Yahweh, he will rescue you. Because you acknowledge his name, he will protect you from the second death, the true enemy of our souls. Call upon him and he will answer. He will be with you in trouble.

In the spiritual realm, that place where warriors fight great battles, you will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. Because you love Creator Yahweh and make him your dwelling place, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. They will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. Your body and emotions may take a hit, but your soul will be safe if you make Creator Yahweh your dwelling place.

February 25 Do not lose heart, warriors. We hold this great treasure of Creator Yahweh in jars of clay. That is what we are, jars of clay, broken and holding nothing but darkness. But Creator Yahweh said, “Let light shine out of darkness!” And he made his light shine in our hearts. In doing so he gave us the light of the knowledge of his glory in the face of Christ.

We find this knowledge of light in the Sacred Writings. This light is the One we knew all along as Creator. Now this light fills all our dark places. That’s why we hold this treasure in jars of clay, to show that this all-surpassing power is from Creator Yahweh and not from us. “We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus Yeshua, so that the life of Jesus Yeshua may also be revealed in our body.”

February 24 In this world, warriors, the enemy may press you hard and fast against a stone mountain, but Creator Yahweh will not allow the evil trickster to crush your spirit beyond repair. The enemy may confuse and bewilder you, but Creator Yahweh will not allow him to drop your soul into a place of complete hopelessness.

Our Great Chief and Captain will give you hope in the darkest of dark places, in the battlefield of the mind, where the enemy speaks lies that we believe. Listen for his voice there, in that dark place, as he gives instruction. Fill your mind with the Sacred Writings.

Yes. Creator Yahweh may allow us to undergo much persecution, but he will never abandon us. He will be with us in the secret place where no one can touch our souls. Yes, some of us will be struck down, but Creator Yahweh will never allow us to be destroyed. He stands with open arms to receive us. Precious in his sight is the death of one of his servants. Yahweh. Yahweh. Yahweh. He is the lover of our souls.

February 23 water Yes, warriors, in this world you will have trouble, but in the spiritual realm, the place where eternal battles are won, Creator Yahweh covers you with his feathers. Spend time there, as you take refuge beneath his wings. Let his faithfulness, which remains even when we are faithless, be your shield and rampart.

If you do this in the spiritual realm, then his peace will follow you back to this world, and you will not fear the terror of padding feet at night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at noon. These things may strike down this body but they cannot touch the soul, that part of us that flies on eagle’s wings. Let your soul find rest in Creator Yahweh alone. He alone is your rock and your salvation. Trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him.

February 22, 2015

February 22 water Warriors, a day will come when we will look back and see that during those times when we were weak and our hearts were full of sorrow, that Creator Yahweh carried us on eagle’s wings. If we would but rest in him we might know the supreme joy of such flight even in the midst of great trial. This is not the joy that bubbles up in laughter, but the joy that wells deep in our souls and brings a glimmer of hope. Hope is like faith, based on real evidence and sure as if the thing sought has already been realized.

This joy we can hang onto, this hope, this faith, because the One who gives it is our Savior, Jesus, Yeshua. He is the Creator who has given us all good things as well as a hope and a future, an eternity free of sorrow and pain. In this world we will have trouble, but take heart, Creator Yahweh has overcome the world.

February 21 water Does the way still seem dark, warriors? Perhaps it is even more frightening than before. It is hard to see now, but there is still a future and a hope. It will come to you in good time, though it does not seem like it now. Creator Yahweh will anoint you with the oil of joy instead of mourning. He will save you from the fowler’s snare

I know the beast of sorrow seems enormous and overpowering, but the beast has already been defeated. Already your Redeemer is on his way. Still it is okay to weep, to mourn for your loss. Jesus Yeshua, too, wept and he still grieves over the loss of his children. You are his beloved child. He will not let you go. There is no dark place, no deep shadow that is so dark that Creator Yahweh’s light cannot fill it.
