may 12 water Warrior, are you still at rest in Creator Yahweh, hidden in the shelter of his tent? Do you realize that this rest is not born of open fields and wind swept skies but is born of conflict? Yes. The very thing that you looked at as bad has produced this fruit of peace. This peace is not like the calm before a storm so do not fear. This peace bears the quietness and freshness that follows the storm.

While you are here in this place of rest, learn the ways of Creator Yahweh and then when you rise to walk again, your feet will walk on straight paths. Even when others do not understand the way you travel, or when they bring false accusations against you, or even when some breathe violence against you, you need not fear. Wait for Creator Yahweh. He will strengthen your heart and give you courage, and at just the right time he will get your feet moving again.

May 11 water Are you in trouble warrior? Cry aloud to Creator Yahweh. He will hear you and have mercy upon you and be gracious. Seek his face with all your heart and he will not hide his face from you. He will not forsake you, even if your father and mother forsake you and all your aunties and uncles. He will never cast you off for he is the God of your salvation.

In the day of trouble Creator Yahweh will hide you in his shelter. In the secret place of his tent he will hide you. He will set your feet high upon a rock. He will lift up your head above your enemies round about. And in his tent you will offer shouts of joy. You will sing, oh yes, you will sing!

May 10 water Has the way grown dark before you warriors? Do you feel yourself sinking into depression? Are the present circumstances that Creator Yahweh has allowed in your life sinking you into despair? Then it is time to stop, cease all work and be still.

Let Creator Yahweh be your refuge and stronghold of your life. Seek his face and inquire of him and do not move until he gives you direction. Rest in the arms of Creator Yahweh. It is a time to draw strength from a strong loved one and trust completely in another’s strength. Wait for Yeshua and he will fill your heart with courage.

May 9 water Love must be sincere, warriors, loving first Creator Yahweh and then loving each other. Let us not love with words and tongue only, but with actions and in truth. As far as our enemies, let us bless those who persecute us. This is impossible in our own strength, but through Holy Spirit power we can do all things.

Let us mourn with those who mourn, raining our tears alongside theirs instead of giving a lecture on how to they can get past their sorrow. Instead, let us hold our tongues and weep with those who weep.

Conversely, when a brother or sister or auntie or uncle comes into a season of rejoicing, let us rejoice with them and dance with all our might. Let the truth of the Sacred Writings fill hungry souls as we walk the paths of promise and prayer.

May 8 water Courage, warriors! Together we are a standing tree that cannot be destroyed because of its fruit. Let all nations come and eat freely. In this way you will encourage your brothers and sisters and aunties and uncles and heap burning coals on the heads of your enemy.

In this present battle, you need no bow and arrow. Put away knife and spear. If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink.

As the Sacred Writings say, “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” To do this, you must keep a listening ear and a heart that is not quick to judge.

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

May 7 water Don’t forget, warriors, that there are many paths winding through a battle. Some paths lead to sorrow and destruction; other paths lead to heartache and ruin; some paths lead to the other side but at too great a cost. The path of prayer leads to victory where we either see the answer to the object of our prayers or faith fills our hearts with sight beyond what we see with our eyes.

This path of prayer is one of perseverance in intercession. We raise our petitions, and our hearts continue to cry out until Creator Yahweh gives us complete assurance . Then, and only then, it is okay to rest.

Someone has said, “Wait at God’s promise until he meets you there, for he always returns by the path of his promises.” This is a good word for warriors traveling the path of prayer, because often the paths of prayer and promise are one and the same. Follow the path of prayer until the promise is revealed.

May 6 water Yes, warriors, we had questions, but now our mouths are shut. We had heard of the wonders of Creator Yahweh, but like those who dream we woke to confusion and fear. Yet Creator Yahweh continues to number our days. Before a word is on our tongues, he knows it completely. He hunts the prey for the lioness. He counts the months till the doe bears her fawn. His thoughts of us outnumber the grains of the sand.

Take another look, warriors, and catch a glimpse of him, for just a glimpse is enough to hang our heads and say, “Oh, I didn’t realize. I put a hand over my mouth. I spoke once, twice, but I will say no more. Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.”

That is the truth of it, warriors, Creator Yahweh can do all things; no plan of his can be thwarted. Our Redeemer and Restorer lives! Our eyes will yet see him in all his glory! How my heart yearns within me.

May 5 Remember, warriors, everything under heaven belongs to Creator Yahweh, and not only that, but his thoughts hold everything together. There is nothing too hard for him. Is there something you have given him that he should repay you? Of course not! For from him and through him and to him are all things.

Creation begins with him. Creation lives through him. Creation centers in him. Have you found your center in him?

He has poured out mercy upon us. How unfathomable, how unsearchable are his judgments. His mystery is beyond our knowledge. Yet he calls us by name and we can dive into the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of Creator Yahweh. Shout to him with a loud voice and proclaim the magnificence of his goodness and character. Creator Yahweh is our God and there is no other! He alone can satisfy the deep hunger of our souls.

May 4 Do you have questions warrior? Remember our brother Job in the Sacred Writings who faced a day worse than any we have ever known. One after another, his servants arrived to tell him of how he had lost his huge herd of oxen, sheep and camels. Then the worst news came that all of his children had died in a single day. In all these losses Job remained true in his devotion to Creator Yahweh. Not so, when Creator allowed the enemy to touch his body with terrible boils. Though Job never cursed God, he certainly had his questions.

What questions do you have? Yes, troubled warrior, we can take them to Creator Yahweh, but the better way, the way of blessing is to trust in Creator Yahweh’s goodness. To believe in the deepest part of our souls that he is good and that he can bring good out of the worst of our troubles. The enemy means these sorrows and troubles for our harm, but Creator Yahweh means them for good. This is a hard thing, but through Spirit power we can accomplish it.

May 3 It is time, warriors, to seek Creator Yahweh. Do not give up until he comes and showers his gift of righteousness on you. Let us break up our uncultivated ground and inquire of him how he would have us live. Let seeds of righteousness take root and feed all who come near. Let us no longer eat the fruit of our lies or trust in our own strength or the strength of many warriors.

It is Creator Yahweh who taught us how to walk. He takes us in his arms and heals us. He has lifted the yoke from our necks and bends down to feed us with his living word.

Yes, warriors, we can live in his presence! Today, tomorrow, the rest of eternity. Let shouts of praise and joy rise from each of his unique children as we join in the dance with all of creation! Creator Yahweh is our God and we are his people. Let shouts of victory resound in the camp!
