What pain are you in, dear child? Death and illness and the loss of dreams have a way of halting a human’s purpose. It’s easy to wonder for what purpose have we been set here in this time and place. Is there a reason beyond our own understanding? Suffering reminds us that time is short, that what we hold dear will soon be gone. Yet, even when our hearts fail us we can still soar on eagle wings, for few can walk with a haughty step when sorrow bends the shoulders. Yahweh has a reason beyond our own understanding, and He promises peace beyond as well. Take it to prayer. Take it to Yahweh. He knows. He understands…even when we do not.
