My heart jumps at the realization that my Great Chief and Captain is my life and light. No darkness can hide his Light; no walls are strong enough to keep him away, even when I hear the echo of the evil one’s footsteps through the dark night. The Sacred Scriptures give me strength where once I was weak. Wisdom from my own people weaves itself through the words.
There was a time our people walked in the true way, the way of walking in beauty, the way of Creator, Yahweh. Long before white people brought fences and walls to this land. This is the true strength of the warrior, not with shield and sword, but with a heart bursting with strong medicine and filled with the Spirit of Creator Yahweh. With this assurance you can feel Creator Yahweh’s presence in any and all dark places, the places that are able to rob you of your soul if you allow it.
The choice is yours—walk in beauty—or walk in darkness.
