Warriors, when was the last time you caught a glimpse of the Spiritual realm? Have you climbed the Sacred Mountain, whether in Spirit or in body, and sat at the feet of your Great Chief and Captain? Have you tasted of the sweet communion Creator Yahweh offers for all who believe? It is in this place of holy communion that we feel a surging wave of joy and hope.
All warriors who claim to follow the Jesus Way must set aside special times and places for quiet communion with our Great Chief and Captain. King David, in the Sacred Writings, looked to the hills whenever he was in the valley. He climbed those hills in Spirit whenever he needed wise council. Daniel, who was held captive, set aside a spiritual place in his small room in order to commune with God. Others could see him and yet he blocked everything out in order to gain strength from his Great Chief and Captain.
We as a spiritual people must return to a life of quietness, prayer, and Sacred Writings. Like David and Daniel, we need to find these places in our everyday lives, making room and time for Creator Yahweh. When we return to a life of spiritual visions and glimpses of heaven, our Great Chief and Captain will once again take us to the mountaintop where we will receive glimpses of heaven. And those glimpses are what we need, warriors, in order to stand firm like good dog soldiers.
