Choosing to walk in beauty, warriors, means that you can dance, without feathers or music, in a cell with hard stone for a floor, or completely in the recesses of your mind. You can dance your prayers to Creator Yahweh, knowing he accepts them for what they are—a true offering of praise and love for the One who has given you life. Even when your old, weak legs no longer work, you can close your eyes and dance.
Listen to Creator Yahweh’s drum beat as stone walls fall away and you are transported through a vision to open fields where you dance with all your might. Let the smell of ripe grain and sweet tobacco wrap itself around you, replacing despair with hope and strengthening your body with courage.
When at last you close your eyes and lay on your bed, your thoughts will turn to wonder. If you had never tasted such bitterness; if you had never fallen into the deep pit, you may have missed the sweetness of a soul set free. Now you are ready for whatever battle waits ahead. Ultimately that battle is in Creator Yahweh’s hands, and he is forever faithful. Let such knowledge carry your heart into peaceful rest.
