Do not lose heart, child. We hold this great treasure of Yahweh in jars of clay. That is what we are, jars of clay, broken and holding nothing but darkness. But Yahweh said, “Let light shine out of darkness!” And he made his light shine in our hearts. In doing so he gave us the light of the knowledge of his glory in the face of Christ. We find this knowledge of light in the Sacred Writings. This light is the One we knew all along as Creator. Now this light fills all our dark places. That’s why we hold this treasure in jars of clay, to show that this all-surpassing power is from Yahweh and not from us. “We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.”
